Elderly monitoring without cameras

If your parent doesn't want a camera in the house, you can still know how their day is going. Livindi uses door and motion sensors, not surveillance cameras, and tells you when something changes.

Livindi Studio kit with no surveillance cameras: LivindiPad tablet, door sensors, multi-sensor and wearable call button

What you can know without a camera

A camera shows you a room, and someone has to watch it. Sensors learn what's normal for your parent and tell you when it changes.

What about the camera on the tablet?

No surveillance cameras. The only camera is the tablet's, for two-way video calls. A video call is a conversation: your parent can see you too, and only people you invite can call them on the tablet.

Video calls have an auto-answer option. It means your parent never has to find a button to pick up, and you can see how they are even if they can't get to the tablet. One customer told us it let the family see that their dad was in trouble, and they called 911 on the spot. You and your parent decide if it's right for them.

Sensors or cameras: an honest comparison

What sensors do well

They work all day with nothing for your parent to do, they don't show anyone's private moments, and they tell you about a change without you having to watch for it.

What sensors can't do

They can't show you what happened. That's what the video call is for: get the alert, tap once, and see for yourself.

What cameras do well

They show you a room whenever you look, and many let you talk through them. If you want to see a specific room, a camera does that.

What cameras can't do

Someone has to watch, and they only see what's in the frame. Your parent may also feel watched. That's often the conversation families are trying to avoid.

Choose a kit

Sensors go on doors and walls and arrive preconfigured, so setup takes minutes.
